Gabriella Cilmi has revealed that her new album will sound more R&B.
The 'Sweet About Me' singer is currently writing with Brian Higgins from Xenomania for her second album, and says she has also taken some inspiration from Blondie.
"The new material is sounding more R&B," the 17 year old tells the Daily Star. "I've been listening to a lot of Blondie too, especially their song 'Rapture'. It's a direction I'm keen to continue with, but I've only written a couple of tracks with Brian Higgins so far, so it's too early to really say."
The Aussie babe also said that she hasn't ruled out giving rap another go: "I toyed with rap on one of my current songs 'Save The Lies'. It didn't really work out, but it hasn't put me off. I'm going to give it another go for sure."
Gabriella Cilmi released her debut album 'Lessons To Be Learned' last year, which contained the hit singles 'Sweet About Me' and 'Save The Lies'.
