Friendly Fires Announce Debut Album Details

On September 1st, Friendly Fires will release their eponymous debut album via XL Recordings, after three limited edition EPs and singles in the last two years.
The band themselves say of the eagerly awaited record, "This 37 minutes of music is the end product of two years' inspiration, frustration, toil and passion. We set out to merge heartfelt, romantic songwriting with our love of the dancefloor and blissful shoegaze guitars."
The group apparently tried to work with producers, but instead opted to self-record the tracks as they had always done - and of the ten songs that feature on 'Friendly Fires', half have appeared on those early already-mentioned releases - 'Photobooth', 'Strobe', 'Paris', 'Ex-Lover' and 'On Board'.

A full-scale tour for September and October is being planned, but for now the band will play at the following venues & festivals.
