Frank Black Of Pixies Prepares Retrospective

Frank Black, vocalist with Pixies, is to release a twenty two track compilation of some of his best tracks this Summer.
The retrospective collects tracks a ten year period and is fittingly entitled Frank Black 93-03. fans can get hold of the album from June 18th.
Speaking about the album, Frank Black says: "There is totally a narrative arc to my solo career...it's me breaking away from the Pixies and finding myself as a solo artist."
"I didn't get into this to have hits. I did it to be a maverick, to be underground, to be part of that world as opposed to the Top 40 world." he added. "I wanted to be an artist and a musician, not to get invited to parties. It's about being true to yourself."
