Duffy Diet Coke Ad 'Avoids Being Banned'

The Diet Coke advert starring Duffy has escaped being removed from our TV screens.

The commercial was considered "irresponsible" by campaigners of UK road safety, because it appears that the 'Mercy' singer is seen riding a bike without wearing protective gear.

It was feared that Duffy could encourage younger fans to follow in her footsteps, by not using safety measures such as wearing a helmet or using lights.

But the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), have deemed the advert as suitable, because Duffy's outfit features sequins - which according to the Highway Code - count as reflective wear.
