DMX Will Never Step Foot In Arizona Again

DMX made his first interview from behind bars, where he revealed he'll never return to Arizona and also claimed he'll be starting his own TV show.

The rapper, real name Earl Simmons, is currently in jail as he awaits sentencing on multiple offences - including drug possession, identity theft and animal cruelty. DMX pleaded guilty to the charges on December 30.

Talking to My FOX Phoenix on January 13th, Simmons claimed that since he moved to Arizona from his home of New York, he has been cursed with trouble.

"When I first came to Arizona, I remember one day coming from the studio at six in the morning and pulled over on the highway just to watch the sunrise. It was at that point I fell in love with Arizona. I had never seen anything beautiful as that sunrise."

Despite his love of the state, DMX then explained that he never wants to step foot in there again: "I'm not looking back. I'm not coming back for a show, I'm not coming back for a visit, I'm not even driving through the states."

"I was never arrested at the scene of any crime, they always came and arrested me for something. It was always 'let's get an arrest warrant for this guy".

Then came news on the proposed TV show, which DMX said would be titled 'Pain and Perseverance'.

"It's about how I can reach people that the average person can't reach because I'm grounded. I'm gonna give my first sermon in church. It's gonna be incredible for me and I hope it's gonna be incredible for the congregation of that church."

"I hope I'm able to reach somebody or touch somebody and bring them closer to the Lord."
