DJ Khaled Named New President Of Def Jam South

DJ Khaled has landed himself a very lucrative role as the new president of Def Jam South, he has revealed.
The DJ, producer and Terror Squad member will handle the Southern division of the influential hip-hop label, and rappers such as Ludacris and Young Jeezy will now be under his wing.
Talking to MTV, Khaled spoke of his new position: "At Def Jam, we promote music. We promote hit records. That's what I respect. I'm always going to represent the music."
"This is what I've always wanted to do, is be an executive and take it to another level," he added. "My job is to bring hits to the table and work with new artists and work with established artists. I'm bringing new energy to the game and to the building."
Khaled's first job will be overseeing the release of the new Rick Ross album 'Deeper Than Rap', and he says of the record so far: "It's a monster. It's gonna be on and poppin'."
