David Cook To Perform On American Idol Finale

David Cook has been announced as the special musical guest for the finale of season 8 of American Idol, according to Examiner.
In addition to the singer - who is a former winner of the contest himself - it has also been confirmed that country pop star Carrie Underwood will be appearing on the May 19 show.
Several other high-profile guests are being rumored to perform also, including Lionel Richie and Black Eyed Peas.
The finale of American Idol will see Kris Allen and Adam Lambert fighting for the title, on the closing night, May 20.
