David Bowie Not Reviving Ziggy Stardust

David Bowie won't be reviving his alter-ego Ziggy Stardust for a festival appearance afterall.

Earlier in the week, UK tabloids reported that the influential musician was to bring back his 70s character for a one-off live appearance at the Coachella festival in the US - where he would perform the classic album 'The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars'.

But a spokesperson for David Bowie has rubbished the story, telling the NME that he had "no plans to play". The hitmaker is however in the studio working on new songs. Bowie has flown out to Berlin in Germany, where he recorded his albums 'Low', 'Heroes' and 'Lodger'.
