David Bowie Denies Recording In Berlin

David Bowie has denied he is currently in Berlin recording new material, as a fake Twitter update had informed fans.

Last week, a message that appeared to come from the singer, said he had flown out to Germany to the same location he'd recorded his classic albums, such as 'Heroes' and 'Low'.

A claim that Bowie was also to revive his 70s character Ziggy Stardust for a one-off appearance at the Coachella festival in California, has also been denied.

A statement on David's site confirmed neither rumour is correct. "The story goes that David Bowie was in talks to perform his Ziggy Stardust album at the festival this year, the rumour really took hold and the 'news' was reported online around the globe and in the English press."

"You may have already seen the denial, but I'm sure the majority of you saw this tale for what it was anyway: poppycock! However, we feel duty-bound to deny this particular story here too, lest members be fleeced of their hard-earned."

"While we're about it, David Bowie does not have a Twitter account."
