Dannii Minogue 'Took A HIV Test'

Dannii Minogue once had to take an HIV test to prove that she did not have the virus.

The singer recalls how she received flowers and a note from a journalist, threatening to run a headline saying she was HIV positive if she did not talk to them - forcing Minogue to take the test before the story could go to press.

"I drove down to my doctor's office, sat there, put my arm out and said, 'I need this test done immediately,' and all I could do was have this piece of paper slapped on their desk to say, 'No I'm not HIV positive, there is no story' - and it quickly and quietly went away," she told Piers Morgan.

"I didn't know why someone would be kind of on my case about something like this. I had been working for an AIDS charity, the Terence Higgins Trust," Minogue continued.

"Not many people want to be involved with charities like that, because they want to be involved with the cuddly, nice charities, and this is kind of heavy real life stuff."

Dannii recently confirmed that she would be re-releasing her first two albums, as well as an unheard album made in 1995 later this month.
