Dannii Minogue 'It Would Be A Disaster If Jedward Won'

Dannii Minogue says it would be disastrous if X Factor twins Jedward won the contest this year.

The brothers remained on the show this week, after Dannii's act Lucie Jones was voted off. And with their popularity rising, there's speculation John and Edward may go as far as to be crowned winners.

"It would be a disaster for The X Factor and Simon Cowell if Jedward won." Minogue told the Mirror. "Simon has to give a £1 million recording contract to the winner. How can he give it to John & Edward when they're not singers?"

"They're entertainers. I wouldn't quit if they won but it would make me question the show's validity. I worry what would happen."

"After Leona Lewis won, the programme turned a corner and became a genuine singing contest, discovering genuine talent."
