The 'Dark Night Of The Soul' album made by Danger Mouse, Sparklehorse and David Lynch will not see the light of day, due to problems with a record label.
The album was to be released as part of a 5,000 limited edition book, which contained photos by Lynch and housing the audio disc inside.
Collaborators on the 13-track project included Iggy Pop, Julian Casablancas, Frank Black and more.
But due to a legal action from Danger Mouse's label EMI, fans won't be able to buy the book/CD package.
A spokesperson for the producer says in a statement that decision to scrap 'Dark Night Of The Soul' came due to an "ongoing dispute" with EMI.
The book however, will still be sold. But the CD included will be a blank disc. "For Legal Reasons, enclosed CD-R contains no music. Use it as you will." The spokesperson revealed.
"Danger Mouse remains hugely proud of Dark Night Of The Soul and hopes that people lucky enough to hear the music, by whatever means, are as excited by it as he is."
