Coldplay To Release Prospects March EP At End Of 2008

After it was claimed Coldplay could deliver a second album in 2008 after June's 'Viva La Vida', the band have confirmed a new release will be out before the year ends - in the form of an EP titled 'Prospects March'.

The news was unveiled during an interview with BBC6 Music, which saw Coldplay talking to R.E.M.'s Michael Stipe. When the frontman asked the group if the 2nd album rumours were true, singer Chris Martin said:

"We're going to put an EP out at Christmas called Prospects March and we're going to release an album next December to end the decade."

Martin then asked bandmate Will Champion: "Is it [the EP] called Prospects March or Prospects Song?" Before he jokingly added: "Lets ask Michael Stipe!"

Stipe then opted for 'Prospects March'. According to Coldplay, the EP will be available on December 26th.
