Ciara Talks 'Fantasy Ride' Album

Ciara has been speaking about her new album 'Fantasy Ride', describing the record as having a lot of "energy".

The singer's third solo album is on course to hit shelves on May 5, following the three singles we've heard so far - 2008's 'Go Girl', January's 'Never Ever' and this month's radio track 'Love Sex Magic' (featuring Justin Timberlake).

"Those up-tempo records are the super-duper core of me," Ciara told Attitude. "They give me energy - and there's nothing like energy - and take me to a whole 'nother space, like your energy level goes to the tenth power."

Talking about the 'Never Ever' track (a song which is slower than her usual material), Ciara adds: "Normally, people expect me to come tempo, tempo, tempo, but this topic holds a special place in my heart."

"It's something I've been talking about a lot with my friends, how a woman often holds on to the hope that a man will change his ways or become more special. That doesn't happen. The relationship just gets dragged out."

'Fantasy Ride' sees Ciara working with producers like Christopher 'Tricky' Stewart, The-Dream, Danja, Scott Storch, Ne-Yo, T-Pain, Polow da Don and Rodney 'Darkchild' Jerkins.
