Christina Aguilera Gets "Futuristic" On Her New Album

Christina Aguilera has been quiet in terms of her music as of late, but she has been busy working on her next album.

Giving a hint of the direction her studio sessions are heading, Xtina tells the Los Angeles Times: "My last album had a vintage, retro, glam appeal. And this next album which I am almost finished and am about to release has a very modern sense about it."

"Futuristic in terms of looking into the future and giving it a new twist and a new sensibility," Christina explains. "I am working with a lot of electro artists to make that come alive. That is what really inspires me at the moment."

Back in February, UK synth-group Ladytron revealed they were writing for Christina's album. And more recently, Sia confirmed she had worked on four songs for the record, including one track titled 'You Lost Me'.
