Chinese Government Blocks Jay-Z Concert

Shanghai was to host China's first ever Jay-Z performance later this month, but the country's government has refused to allow it.

The rapper was due to appear for a mini concert at Hongkou Football Stadium on 23rd October, but the Chinese Ministry of Culture has refused to give the neccessary permits to the local promotional company, KS Productions.

According to sources, government officials decided to ban Jay-Z's appearance because of the vulgar language used in some of his songs.

The cancellation means the rapper only has 10 more dates left on his world tour, and he will now go straight to Australia from Taiwan instead of stopping off at China in between.
