Carrie Underwood To Perform On American Idol

Carrie Underwood has been signed up to perform live on the finale of American Idol.
Appearing on next week's show, the country singer will cover the 1985 hit 'Home Sweet Home', originally recorded by Motley Crue. Underwood is to perform on the first of the final nights, May 19.
The actual final itself, scheduled for May 20, will also have an established musical guest but they are yet to be confirmed.
As reported this week, Danny Gokey became the latest contestant to leave the show, leaving finalists Kris Allen and Adam Lambert left fighting it out to be crowned American Idol 2009.
