Carl Barat says he has no interest in reforming The Libertines, after former band mate Pete Doherty revealed they had been afford £2 million to reunite for a festival performance.
"I've just freed myself up so the last thing I wanna do is completely burden my mind [with the reunion]. No, no right now" Barat tells BBC 6 Music.
The singer is however pursuing an acting career, and he explained his upcoming projects. "I got into it doing that film thing with 'Telstar', the Joe Meek biopic. I was in that, and I've got another thing coming up - I think there's room in my life for both [making make and acting]."
On possible acting roles, Barat joked, "I don't really wanna do 'Holby City' or 'The Bill', you know what I mean?"
"I'd rather do a film really, or I might do a play one day, learn the craft."
