Carl Barat Planning Solo Album?

Carl Barat has hinted that a solo album could be on the horizon.

The Dirty Pretty Things frontman has recently been performing solo live shows, opening up for band of the moment Glasvegas, and when asked by BBC 6 Music if a record is planned, Barat told them: "We'll see what songs come out of me..."

"I think I've got a lot left in me that's been wanting to come out for so long and I've just not really had the guts to do it justice and go out on my own," adds Carl, "so I'm just trying to force myself to do it."

Elsewhere in the interview, Barat said he had no intention of reforming his old band The Libertines with Pete Doherty. He also spoke of his acting career.
