Bono feels that he is "overpaid".
The singer, who fronts stadium-rockers U2, is worth an estimated £400 million (about $700 million) - so he tries to use his free time to help out good causes.
Speaking at the launch of Nike's Lace Up, Save Lives campaign which aims to raise awareness and funds for the (Red) charity, Bono said: "I am very well paid, overpaid and even over-rewarded for what I do."
The event was also attended by several football (soccer) stars, and he added: "These guys are very wealthy. But a lot of these soccer guys are giving something back and they don't need to do that."
U2 were just confirmed as headliners of the Glastonbury Festival next year, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary.
