Bonehead "Oasis Should Have Quit In 1996"

Ex-Oasis member Bonehead says the band should have given up and split back in 1996, when the band performed to 250,000 fans at Knebworth.
The rhythm guitarist quit the 'Wonderwall' rockers, along with bassist Paul McGuigan in 1999, as they were recording the album 'Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants'.
Bonehead - real name Paul Arthurs - says he parted ways with the Gallaghers because Oasis were no longer fun.
"I wasn't feeling it any more." Arthurs says. "I would have been lying to the band and the fans. There were a lot of frantic phone calls and visits, but I'd made my mind up."
"I always thought we should have bowed out after the second night at Knebworth. Walking out on that stage is a feeling I can't explain - a sea of people. Big!"
"Last year, I got on the guest list for an Oasis gig in Birmingham. It was exciting, but strange."
When questioned whether he would ever get back with the original line-up, Paul added: "I'd never rejoin them - not that I'd be asked. But for one gig? Absolutely. I still know the chords to 'Rock 'n' Roll Star'."
Liam Gallagher said earlier this week that the Oasis shows at Manchester's Heaton Park this weekend would top the Knebworth concerts.
