Blood Red Shoes have spoken about their future recording plans and described how their second album is shaping up so far.
The Brighton boy-girl duo of Steven Ansell and Laura-Mary Carter, released their debut album Box Of Secrets last year to great reception, but the pair can't wait to complete their next full-lengther - as Steven explains on the band's website.
"We're being really strict with ourselves and making sure everything is 100% in place, we're not one of those bands who go into a studio with some half-baked ideas then pay a producer to convert that into something people might care about. And we also want to make sure that every b-side is not just bulls*** filler but actually worthy music."
"It's shaping up to be a lot more varied than the first album, and no that doesn't mean ballads, it just means it's got more dynamics and light and shade in there. I think we're definitely pushing the darker elements of our sound to the front a bit more too."
Blood Red Shoes have three live shows scheduled for next month and tickets are on sale here.
