Bloc Party halted a show last night (February 18th) in Aberdeen, after vocalist Kele Okereke was struck by a coin thrown by a member of the audience, during their performance.
The band were playing at the Music Hall venue, promoting the release of their second album A Weekend In The City when Kele was hit by the flying object just two tracks into the set. Bloc Party were forced to then leave the stage.
However, the four-piece did return to complete the show after a short gap and a spokesperson for Bloc Party has assured fans that Okereke has no injuries.
The band will next play live tomorrow night in Edinburgh and the remainder of their UK tour looks like this:
February Tour Dates:
20th - Edinburgh Corn Exchange
21st - Newcastle Academy
