Bloc Party Cancel US Tour Dates

Bloc Party have cancelled a number of shows on their current US tour, after drummer Matt Tong was taken to hospital with a collapsed lung.

Tong was taken to an Atlanta hospital after last night's performance and this statement was issued on the band's official website:

"Matt is in a comfortable condition and not in any danger, he will however be staying in hospital for at least the next three days for observation and it's not clear at this stage when Matt will be fit to resume performing."

Bloc Party will definitely not be performing at the following shows:

Charlotte, NC (Cricket Arena),
Fairfax, VA (Patriot Center)
Two New York Madison Square Garden gigs
