Beth Ditto 'I Was Depressed After Recording New Album'

Gossip singer Beth Ditto says she fell into a period of depression after the group had finished recording their new album.
'Music For Men' (the trio's fourth album to date) will see the light of day on June 22.
During their current promotion of the record, Ditto told XFM's Steve Harris that once work had been completed on the follow-up to 'Standing On Control', she "had some post-natal depression."
"I really felt like I'd given birth to a baby and was really sad that the baby was out of my body. It was really, really intense." Beth added.
But Ditto is feeling positive about the future of the Gossip and 'Music For Men', as she explains: "Now I'm looking forward to putting the baby in clothes and giving it a really cool name and taking pictures of the baby."
"It was awesome to make and I'm so excited it's finally out."
The Gossip will perform three shows in the UK next month, tickets are on sale now.
