Badly Drawn Boy Rare Single Out Soon

Bearded troubador Badly Drawn Boy revealed recently that his new album would be getting an October release. Before however, the songwriter will release a limited single.

Available on August 7th, a 7" will be put out by the Emidisc label as the first taster for the new LP, containing the album's title track Born In The UK.

Going back to his roots of limited 7" singles, like his first releases the new vinyl will be limited to just 500 copies only making this a real rarity and collector's item.

According to the Badly Drawn Boy website, "a series of ultra-rare hand made and privately pressed single-sided singles will be made available via selected outlets" in the lead-up to the actual LP release.

The first single proper from Born In The UK will be in the form of Nothing's Going To Change Your Mind, available in September with the long-player set for mid-October.

Apparently, the 7" sleeve was designed by Andy Votel and is based on traditional British fish and chip newspaper wrapping. Three different colours awill be made and come complete with a chip fork.
