Babyshambles have been dropped by their record label Rough Trade.
According to reports, the band's contract with the label has expired and will not be renewed. A spokesman for Rough Tade has denied claims that Babyshambles were sacked due to their irrational behaviour. He also said:
"He doesn't have a contract with us. We are obviously very fond of him, but at the moment we are not working with him."
The announcement comes after a "source" recently told The Independent newspaper that "Rough Trade were in the process of renegotiating a deal, but the talks broke down because it just proved to be so difficult to deal with Pete and the people he surrounds himself with".
Babyshambles will now need a new deal if they plan to release their second LP, the follow-up to 2005's Down In Albion.
