Amy Winehouse 'Refused US Visa Over Assault Charges'

Amy Winehouse has been refused a US work visa, preventing her from appeating at the Coachella festival on April 18.

It's claimed the singer's recent assault charges are to blame and a spokesman confirmed her performance has been axed, as he tells the Mirror: "She is not appearing at Coachella this year in the light of current legal issues."

An insider also told the paper: "Amy is absolutely gutted. She was looking forward to getting back on stage and this was going to be one of the biggest shows of her life."

"As well as 75,000 fans, there would have been top record execs there too, so she might have even tried out some new material."

"But because of the court case she can't get a visa. It's a real setback after she has been getting clean from drugs over in Barbados."

Amy Winehouse has now returned to the UK, following an extended stay on St Lucia in the Caribbean. She is expected to start work on her third album shortly, but some sources are hinting the singer may be suffering from writer's block.
