Amelle Berrabah - the newest member of the Sugababes - has confessed to originally having doubts about joining the band.
Berrabah stepped in to replace Mutya Buena in 2006, after she quit the girl group in December 2005.
But Amelle has revealed she had initial fears, after reading about supposed bullying in the group from the other two members - Heidi Range and Keisha Buchanan.
"I must admit I was scared when I joined," Berrabah told Star magazine. "I'd heard about the infighting and bullying that supposedly went on and I believed it."
Heidi also stepped in to put the record straight about fighting within the Sugababes, saying: "There were never any rows in the band, not even when Mutya Buena was in the line-up. I guess because we're girls people assume we're catty."
