Alexandra Burke Biggest Selling Single Of 2008

Alexandra Burke has scored the biggest selling UK single of 2008, with her number one hit Hallelujah.
The newly crowned winner of the X Factor beat off competition from the X Factor Finalists and their cover of Mariah Carey's 'Hero' (which was the 2nd biggest track of the year), and Duffy's universal hit 'Mercy' (which goes in at number 3).
Elsewhere in the top 10 are Katy Perry, Estelle and Nickelback. The full 2008 top 10 selling UK singles are as follows:
