Alesha Dixon claims young people in the TV industry are met with age-discrimination.
Speaking during a forthcoming ITV2 documentary, 'Fearne and... Alesha', the 'Strictly Come Dancing' judge said: "I think people have been ageist towards young people."
"I think there is this presumption that if you're below the age of 30, you haven't got a clue about what you're doing."
"I really believe it's not how old you are, it's your life experience that frames your character."
Dixon is no stranger to criticism - she was on the receiving end of a backlash when BBC brought her in as a replacement judge for Arlene Phillips on 'Strictly...'
'Fearne and... Alesha Dixon' will be broadcast this Thursday (November 5) at 10pm.
Dixon is currently on a UK tour and releases her new single 'To Love Again' on November 16.
