Akon Mobbed By 300 Fans In London

Such was the excitement of Akon appearing in the UK, that the singer was mobbed by hundreds of fans.
The US R&B star was on his way to a cinema (theater) to catch a movie when he recalls witnessing a fight, that he attempted to film on his cell phone.
"It was really funny so I started filming it on my phone." Akon tells the Daily Star newspaper. "I forgot who I was for a second, and people started to notice me - before I knew it I was being mobbed by about 300 fans."
So big was the fanbase that Akon even had to hide out in a nearby Burger King. He adds: "They had to sneak us out the back and I never did get to see that film."
