Adam Lambert will follow in the footsteps of previous American Idol winner David Cook, by co-writing the songs on his debut album.
The runner-up was quizzed by Oprah.com, where he told the site work began on the album immediately after the contest ended. "We started right away with meetings about the sound and the vibe."
"They asked me, "Do you know of any producers that you would really want to work with?" and I have short list of producers, and fortunately we connected with all the ones I wanted to connect with."
"We started writing, and I've been able to co-write on a handful of tracks and there's more to come."
Lambert revealed he'll be performing a David Bowie medley on the American Idol tour, as the closing part of his set - consisting of three songs. And he'll also be duetting with Alison Iraheta each night.
Adam is rumored to be working with RedOne on material for the album. The producer created Lady Gaga's hit singles 'Poker Face' and 'Just Dance'.
