50 Cent 'Explains His Violent Music'

50 Cent has explained why he still releases records relating to his former years living in a tough New York neighborhood, even though he is now a multi-millionaire.
The rags-to-riches rapper was opening-up about his new 'Crimewave' single (from the album 'Before I Self Destruct'), when he said: "For a certain audience some guys can just make straight pop records and it will go to a 40 or 50 million audience and they can just be happy, like their records."
"But because of the public has assessed me in a certain way, they expect from me to have that kind of aggression that 'Crimewave' embodies." He told BANG Showbiz.
"And they are looking for that. Even if you have a big hit record like 'P.I.M.P' they still want the 'Crimewave' record, they still want that record that feels like the environment I grew up in feels like."
"It doesn't put pressure on me because I have assessed it. If they place those standards on you, you got to make the adjustments."
'Before I Self Destruct' actually leaked online last week a month ahead of its official release date.
