Beastie Boys To Host "Get Out And Vote" Election Shows

The Beastie Boys will play three shows shortly, to encourage their fans to go and vote in the upcoming US Presidential Election.

All three dates will precede the November 4 election and will be held in Richmond, VA (Oct 28), St Paul, MN (Nov 1) and Milwaukee, WI (Nov 2).

Speaking to Billboard, the rap trio say they are backing Barack Obama to be the new president and speaking of these special concerts, which run under the name of "Get Out And Vote", they say:

"The election is too important to stay at home. We hope that you can come out, have a nice night out, dance, sing, get your freak on, and then wake up the next morning and get everybody you possibly can to get out and vote."
