Jay-Z Honored For His Humanitarian Work In Africa

Jay-Z was honored in New York yesterday (Oct 1st) for his charitable work in Africa.
The rapper has helped to bring clean water to poor parts of the continent, and was praised at the United Nations Global Leadership Awards Gala for his humanitarian work.
After recently touring Africa, Jay-Z has been lucky enough to be able to see the results of his efforts.
"Many charities, you close your eyes and cross your fingers and hope that the money gets to the people who really deserve it." He told People.com.
"But with this, I got to go to Africa, see the water pumps. I got to see the kids turn them on."
