Simian Mobile Disco Rope In Gruff Rhys For New Album

Simian Mobile Disco are working with vocalists on their second album and already they've enlisted the help of Gruff Rhys and Beth Ditto.

One half of the duo, James Ford, tells BBC's Newsbeat: "We've already done a track with Gruff Rhys from the Super Furry Animals, which is great, and one with Beth Ditto from the Gossip. It's looking good so far."

When asked how the new Klaxons album was sounding (Ford is producing the sequel to 'Myths Of The Near Future'), he continued: "They're trying to keep it melodic and vocal because that's one of their great strong points."

Before adding, "I don't think it's going to sound too much like the last record."
