50 Cent To Make Movie Based On Before I Self Destruct

50 Cent plans to turn his next album 'Before I Self Destruct' into a movie, that will be released at the same time as the LP. The rapper also intends to direct and produce the film.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, Fiddy tells the magazine: "It's not Purple Rain [a film by Prince], but it was inspired by the actual music."
"When [films] portray certain lifestyles they don't show cause and effect, but I showed characters under pressure in scenarios where they felt like there were no other options, even though there were."
In addition to making the film, 50 Cent is also working on new music for the soundtrack - which won't include any of the songs on the 'Before I Self Destruct' album.
50 explained his reason for this was to stop his label Insterscope Records being entitled to any of the profits for using the songs they own:
"Then Interscope would automatically have the rights to it, when they had absolutely no ownership of the actual material." Cent adds.
