Oasis To Perform At Manchester City Football Club Party?

Oasis are being targetted to perform at a launch for Manchester City Football Club, after the team was bought for £220million by The Abu Dhabi United Group.
If it goes ahead, the group will perform at the club's City Of Manchester Stadium in the Summer of 2009. According to reports, the Gallagher brothers and band mates will scoop a £1 million wage for the event.
It's also claimed Oasis may re-record the club's anthem 'Blue Moon', for using when the team run on to the pitch during home games.
"Employees who know the club inside out were asked to put forward suggestions." A source tells The Sun.
"The owners want to ally themselves with strong brands and see Oasis as playing a vital role helping to move the club forward very quickly."
"They hope to use the Gallagher's - the club's most famous fans - to improve the brand and relationship with fans. Acts such as Oasis don't come cheap - but obviously that isn't an issue."
