Babyshambles are to hit the studio before the year ends, to record their next album.
"It will definitely be out in 2009." Drummer Adam Ficek tells BBC 6 Music, referring to the release date.
"We're choosing producers, and then in November I think we'll reconvene and really start kicking it into shape."
Ficek also spoke about band mate Pete Doherty collaborating with former Libertines friend Carl Barat on stage this week: "Those two are really good friends still."
"I think there are obviously a lot of issues they need to talk about, and settle up on, but I don't think this will be the last time that we'll see them together."
The last Babyshambles album was 2007's 'Shotter's Nation'.
