Timbaland Suing Australian Tour Company

Timbaland is suing an Australian tour company, after planned concerts were cancelled.

The New York Sun reports how the super-producer was booked to play five live shows in August, which were subsequently cancelled.

The lawsuit, which Timbaland filed last week, claims the tour organisers Showtime Touring failed to make payments for him to appear in Australia and later sent out a statement blaming the hitmaker for not contacting them.

Also as a result of the cancellation, negative reports were written against him in the media. Elsewhere, the suit claims Showtime Touring attempted to form sponsorships without running it by him first.

Timbaland is now seeking damages.
