Grooverider Freed From Dubai Prison

DJ Grooverider has been freed from prison in Dubai, after being jailed in February of this year for possessing drugs.
The BBC Radio 1 drum'n'bass DJ found himself behind bars after being caught with 2.16 grams of cannabis at Dubai airport in November 2007. He was originally sentenced to four years in prison and an online petition was launched to see him freed.
But it seems Grooverider has had a lucky break, as he's been released much earlier than planned. According to reports, he was pardoned by the Dubai Royal Family and subsequently released last Thursday (August 28th).
