Lily Allen has thanked police for saving one of her friends from a kidnap attempt.
Reports say the friend and another man were working in a West London sports store, when they were kidnapped by a group of armed men.
The pair were then held at an address in Thamesmead (South East London), while the kidnappers demanded £75,000 from their families.
The two men were then rescued by police a week later (August 9) and were found to be handcuffed, as well as having their heads covered.
Allen is now thanking the police, saying on her personal blog: "Thank you to the Met for getting my friend back, we were all terrified and from what I hear you guys did an amazing job."
