David Bowie Rare Joe Meek Recording Going Up For Auction

A rare song that features David Bowie will be among unreleased recordings going up for auction.
The track by Bowie's first band The Konrads is called 'MockingBird' and was discovered as part of over 5,000 recordings made by legendary producer Joe Meek.
Around 2,000 tapes from the 50's and 60's will be auctioned at London's Idea Generation Gallery on September 3.
It's estimated the recordings - which also include Billy Fury, Jimi Hendrix drummer Mitch Mitchell and Deep Purple guitarist Ritchie Blackmore - will reach £300,000.
