The Game Facing Battery Charges

The Game is being charged with battery following an alleged incident involving his cousin and a family funeral last month, which we originally reported on here.
TMZ reports he is being charged by the Hawthorne City Attorney's Office and as the rapper is already on probation (for firearms offences), the battery violation could lead to jail time.
It's claimed he punched cousin Robert "Kirky" Kirkwood over a dispute with funeral expenses (around $7,000). Kirkwood claimed The Game offered to pay half of the expenses but never did, yet he turned up at the funeral - where the argument broke out.
In unrelated news, The Game released his third album L.A.X. this week.
