Roots Manuva has revealed more about his planned collaboration with James Blunt.
Last week, Roots - real name Rodney Smith - claimed he wanted to work with singer-songwriter Blunt, saying the collaboration would be "beyond avant-garde".
Now he says he's already made contact with the 'You're Beautiful' hitmaker, via one of his bandmates: "I'm a personal friend of his guitarist and he put the message in, and he's up for it," Smith told BBC 6Music.
Although he's not certain what will come of the collaboration: "We'll just get in the studio, have a few wines, eat some cake and go for it."
Roots Manuva releases his new album 'Slime & Reason' on Monday, September 1st.
