Avril Lavigne's Malaysia Concert Now Cancelled

Avril Lavigne's controversial concert in Malaysia this month has been cancelled over complaints.

As reported a few days earlier, the pop star is scheduled to perform on August 29 - two days before the country celebrates its Independence Day.

However, the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party asked for the show to be cancelled because they deemed the singer's show as being "too sexy".

As a result, the Muslim nation's Arts, Culture and Heritage Ministry announced today (August 20) that the concert is now pulled.

"It's not in the spirit of our National Day," a senior official told the Associated Press.
