'Wardrobe malfunction' will be in the next edition of the Chambers English Dictionary thanks to Janet Jackson's mishap in 2004.
The phrase became famous after Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake performed at the 2004 Super Bowl half-time, during which Timberlake "accidently" ripped open Jackson's top to reveal her breast. Luckily the singer just "happened" to have been wearing a "nipple shield"...
More than half a million people complained to CBS about the incident, which has now become infamous, leading to 'Wardrobe malfunction' being deemed relevant enough to be added to the next Chambers edition.
The Global Language Monitor named it 'Hollywood's Top Word or Phrase for Impact on the English language' in 2004.
Last month Jackson was cleared of the Superbowl incident.
