New X Factor judge Cheryl Cole, will perform on the popular tv talent show with the rest of Girls Aloud later in the series.
Speaking at the X Factor press launch, Cheryl who replaced Sharon Osbourne as the fourth judge, revealed that the hit girl group would sing the first single from their next album, adding: "Imagine how awkward it's going to be for me!"
Simon Cowell did nothing to make her feel more comfortable, as he joked: "We're going to move the desk forward so we're very, very close to Cheryl when she performs that night."
Despite constant rumours that with the girls doing their own things, Girls Aloud may be heading towards a split, Cheryl believes that juggling her new role as judge and being part of the group has not been a problem.
"It's actually worked out really well with our schedule because we're in the studio at the moment recording the album," Cole said. "It's one of those things that we can juggle round as needs be and as long as it's all complete by the set date, it's happy days."
