Morrissey has said a planned greatest hits album by his former band The Smiths, is being released against his wishes.
Warner Music aim to release the package before the end of the year, however the singer has distanced himself from the album saying it has been compiled without his "approval or involvement".
Morrissey also explained the delay of his next album 'Years Of Refusal', which should have been out next month but will now surface in 2009 - adding that Universal Music have pushed back the release.
According to the singer, 'Years Of Refusal' also has no US label, after he left Decca US because he felt they didn't promote his own 'Greatest Hits' album enough.
